"As iron sharpens iron, so a friend sharpens a friend."
~Proverbs 27:17 (NLT)
We look forward to seeing our college students when they are home on breaks! We offer special College & Career events and opportunities during the month of December/early January and during the summer. College-age students who are home from college during the school year are encouraged to browse the various adult classes we have, making their choice based on a topic that interests them, especially (but not exclusively) the Sunday Morning Refill class on the third floor, as decided at the 2022 NextGen Summit. Also, Todd Hagler leads a college-specific class during Summer & Winter Break (roughly May-July and December) in the Media Center on Sundays at 9:45 a.m.
Staying connected
To make the most of our limited time together on breaks, we offer opportunities for not only reconnecting on a spiritual level during our group Bible studies, but also with some recreational fun and mission opportunities. Deep and meaningful connections are multi-faceted, and we do our best to keep it rich in options. Friends are always welcome, too!
First Baptist does and has always done a great job at staying connected with our college students while they're away. Our members send notes and packages and our college ministry team sends packages and surprises as well. Our student minister even gets to make campus visits sometimes! We love our college students very much.
