Serving around the united states
First Baptist has had the privilege of serving the Lord alongside some wonderful mission organizations all across the United States. As you continue to scroll down this page, you'll find links to various mission organizations with whom we've served. You'll also see a few examples from a few of our more recent trips. As new opportunities for regional missions become available, they will be posted on this page.

Our team served through the NC Baptists on Mission partnership at the Solid Rock Bible Camp (SRBC) in Soldotna, Alaska. Work included assisting with construction and renovation projects at SRBC. This trip was an intergenerational mission trip available to high schoolers through adults, having someone from nearly every decade of life participating from 14 to 64! The team helped build new horse feeders and do various repairs and paint jobs around camp that reaches hundreds of campers every summer.
Harrisburg, Pennsylvania
July 24-31, 2021
Our team put down new flooring, painted, installed new doors, pressure washed, and did some substantial outside work on the grounds of the mission house.
St. Louis, Missouri
July 10-17, 2021
Our high school mission team served through Servant Life with Street Reach Ministries in urban St. Louis. We had the privilege of leading Vacation Bible School-style ministry at local parks with children ages 3-11. One child said, "Bible Club is the highlight of my life!" While it was so nice to hear those words, it also showed us that genuine love and God's Word can be a blessing to those even in the deepest of poverty. God blessed us as we played, sang, danced, and taught the children about Him. We also did other various tasks around the city of St. Louis. Thanks to all who prayed for us and supported our trip!
Lynchburg, Virginia
June 21-25, 2021
In addition to the summer camp, during the afternoons, our youth ministry served in the greater Lynchburg area by serving children and families in a local park and writing letters of encouragement to persecuted Christians overseas, along with serving local heroes at the police and fire stations.
