Parent page

We know being a parent is one of the hardest jobs on the planet, but it’s also the greatest thing you will ever do. We know your job isn’t always easy, but here’s what we want you to know: we’re here to help in any way we can. We may be a children’s ministry, but that doesn’t mean kids are the only people we care about. We care about you too!

No matter how connected (or not connected) you are with our church, this First Baptist Children’s Ministry will show you some of the ways we’re trying to care for your kid and serve you at the same time.  Thanks for letting us be another voice in the life of your child. Your trust and partnership means a lot to us.

CHRIST-CENTERED PARENTING RESOURCES

Your child's world is constantly changing, isn't it?  With all that's going on, it's sometimes hard to keep up. Continue scrolling for links to websites and digital resources that First Baptist Children's Ministries recommends.  Some of these resources offer similar content, though they're formatted differently.  Take some time to see which fit your style and your needs best.  We pray the Lord will use these resources, coupled with Bible reading and being in community with your church family, to bless you and your kids.

Prefer paper? Sometimes it's nice to hold a book in your hand.  A large number of helpful books and pamphlets, etc. for parents of children and teens can be found in our church's family resource room in the Media Center on the second floor, Room 205.  Some are for check-out and others are complimentary copies for you to keep.

"Teach children how they should live, and they will remember it all their life."  ~Proverbs 22:6 (GNT)
