Charles C. Coffey Scholarship Guidelines and Requirements

Applicants Requirements
  • Must submit Charles C. Coffey Scholarship application form either online, by email or mail by the following deadlines:
    • July 1 (Fall Semester)
    • December 1 (Spring Semester)
  • Must be accepted for part-time or full-time enrollment in a national accredited program to pursue a seminary degree (preaching ministry, education ministry, music ministry, etc.)
  • Must be a member of a Baptist church
  • Must be committed to preparing for full-time Christian ministry

Scholarship Guidelines
  • Awarded on semi-annual basis (Fall/Spring)
  • Scholarship amounts vary each year
  • Scholarships are non-renewable
  • First preference will be given to applicants who are members of First Baptist Church of Kannapolis, NC (FBCK).  If there are not any FBCK member applicants, then preference will be given to members of Baptist churches in Cabarrus or Rowan Counties, NC
  • The scholarship selection committee reserves the right to interview applicants
  • Scholarship recipients will be notified by June 15 (Fall Semester) and December 15 (Spring Semester)
  • Funds will be paid to school or choice and not directly to recipient
  • Scholarship funds will be disbursed at the beginning of the semester
